Are you wondering if Worcester Bosch boilers are really worth the premium price tag?

It’s true that there are a lot of brands out there that are now offered great, 10-year guarantees, and value for money. Baxi and Ideal are just a couple that are recently gaining in popularity.

So, you may be thinking to yourself: “Why are people still prepared to fork out extra for Worcester Bosch?”

Well, it’s a good question. I absolutely believe a new boiler should be treated as an investment, and when it comes to quality and longevity, you still can’t beat Worcester Bosch. After all, they haven’t been voted Which? ‘Best Buy’ 7 years running for no reason. And that’s voted by homeowners and engineers alike!

As an experienced heating engineer, I’ve listed three reasons alone that make Worcester Bosch worth the premium price tag.

TIP: For a much more in-depth look on why homeowners and engineers favour Worcester Bosch in general, check out my recent blog: ‘8 Reasons Why Worcester Bosch Boilers Are Better Than Other Brands’.

1. They last longer than other brands

Worcester Bosch boilers are built with high quality components, and they’re truly built to last. In fact, you can usually expect around 16 – 20 years out of them, if not more! This is reflected in their comprehensive, no-quibble guarantee (more about that below).

Other boiler brands on average don’t always fare quite as well. I’d say on average, 10 – 15 years at most. This puts Worcester Bosch head and shoulders above the rest.

It’s true the other boiler brands are catching up, with brands like Baxi and Ideal now coming with great guarantees. However, time will tell whether they prove to be as long-lasting and reliable as the current market leader.

2. They’re extremely reliable

One of the biggest reasons I’m such a fan of Worcester Bosch boilers is that they don’t give me any hassle. As an accredited installer, I can just fit a Worcester Bosch, and usually don’t ever have to give it any attention 10 – 15 years (apart from annual services of course). No unexpected breakdowns, or new parts required in all that time. Pretty impressive, no?

Of course, nobody likes having to deal with a broken down boiler. Especially if it means they’re left without heating or hot water for days or even weeks! With other brands, you can’t be quite as sure you won’t run into any problems, but with a Worcester Bosch, ┬áits reputation proceeds it.

Not sure if any of you have seen their latest TV ad, but you truly can rely on a Worcester.

3. A comprehensive no-quibble guarantee

With Worcester Bosch, you get a fully comprehensive, no-quibble guarantee that’s one of the best on the market. This will cover you for up to 10 years when purchasing with the brand’s own filter and controls. But that’s not all – when you purchase all three together, they’ll ALL be covered for the length of the warranty.

So, you don’t have to worry about any problems with your controls or filter, either. This is a big selling point for a lot of my customers.

Advice from an experienced engineer

I know there are a lot of great value deals emerging from other brands at the moment. However, in my experience, if you want a boiler that’s going to last you in the long term, a Worcester Bosch is always worth the price tag. The brand has proven itself time and time again to be reliable, long-lasting and efficient.

I’m not saying the latest boilers from brands like Baxi and Ideal won’t last as long, but time will tell.

There are so many other reasons why Worcester Bosch is such a great brand, such as having their own dedicated engineers, accredited installers, and of course, being Which? ‘Best Buy’. But the three reasons above is what really makes Worcester Bosch worth the money.

Conclusion

I hope you’ve found this blog helpful when deciding whether a Worcester Bosch will be worth it for you. There are a lot of great value deals out there right now. However, if you want a boiler for the long-term, Worcester Bosch boilers will always serve you well.

My advice is to find an accredited installer who can advise you further on which boiler might be best for your home, and get at least three fixed price quotes!
