Pricing

Welcome to our pricing page. Below, we’ve provided you with some examples of how we price our boilers, based on our bestselling Worcester Bosch range – so you can get a rough idea of how much you can expect to pay.

Please note: These are not our most inexpensive boilers, and prices will vary depending on the brand and model of boiler you choose.

Which factors can affect cost?

Firstly, if you have thick walls and the exhaust flue requires an extension or the external flue needs a plume management kit, you may need to pay a little extra towards this. Cost may also depend on how far from a drain your boiler is located for the condensate, and whether it requires a pump at a small extra charge.

Your gas pipes, if not currently 22mm may need to be upgraded from a smaller bore, which requires lifting floorboards. A larger boiler like the Worcester Bosch 38CDi may require a further upgrade to a 28mm gas pipe to ensure enough fuel gets to the boiler.

Secondly, you may have a traditional regular or system boiler with tanks, and changing from this set-up to a combi will involve draining and removing hot, cold and expansion water tanks and rerouting pipework, potentially adding an extra £400 – £600.

Relocating your boiler could again require extra work such as rerouting pipework – this will affect the cost due to the extra labour and materials required.

Thirdly, you may wish to upgrade a few extras. If you were to upgrade the controls to internet enabled smart controls that can be accessed via a tablet or smart phone, this could add an extra £100. You may also opt for a compact model of boiler that can be fitted inside a kitchen unit (an extra £110).

At the same time as doing this work, you may also wish to fit thermostatic radiator valves (if there are none present) which would be around £25 each supplied and fitted.

Example one – A one-bedroom flat:

A direct replacement regular boiler for an average one-bedroom flat with a 100 litre hot water cylinder and 4 – 8 radiators.

Solution:

A Worcester Bosch Greenstar 12Ri regular boiler with twin channel programmer and magnetic central heating filter.

Typical cost: £2,120 incl. VAT and labour

Example two – A three-bedroom home:

A direct replacement for an average three-bedroom home with a 120-litre hot water cylinder and 7 – 10 radiators.

Solution:

A Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24Ri regular boiler with twin channel programmer and magnetic central heating filter.

Typical cost: £2,250 incl. VAT and labour

Example three – A five to six-bedroom home:

A direct replacement for an average five to six-bedroom home with a 300 litre hot water cylinder and 12 – 20 radiators.

Solution:

A Worcester Bosch Greenstar 40CDi regular boiler with twin channel programmer and magnetic central heating filter.

Typical cost: £3,050 incl. VAT and labour

Which factors can affect cost?

Cost may also depend on how far from a drain your boiler is located for the condensate, and whether it requires a pump at a small extra charge.

If your gas pipes are not currently as wide as 22mm, they may need to be upgraded from a smaller bore, which requires lifting floorboards. A larger boiler like the Worcester Bosch 38CDi may require a further upgrade to a 28mm gas pipe to ensure enough fuel gets to the boiler.

Secondly, you may have a traditional system which is piped with gravity hot water. This older system is uneconomical, so will need to be upgraded, adding on a potential £200 – £300. Also, if you relocate your boiler to a new location, it’d also mean rerouting pipework, adding on labour costs and materials.

Finally, you may wish to upgrade a few extras, such as switching your controls to internet enabled smart controls that can be accessed via a tablet or smartphone, adding on an extra £100. You may also opt for a compact model of boiler that can be fitted inside a kitchen unit (an extra £110).

At the same time as doing this work, you may also wish to fit thermostatic radiator valves (if there are none present) which would be around £25 each supplied and fitted.

Example three – a four to five-bedroom home:

Finally, many customers who purchase system boilers are looking for more hot water than their present hot water cylinder can supply, so added a new vented or unvented higher capacity hot water cylinder could add on an extra £400 – £1,000.
