Are you considering the Worcester Bosch 38cdi classic combi as the next boiler for your large Edinburgh property?
Then this is the blog for you!
Read on to find out everything you need to know about the 38cdi classic, including its main selling points and what makes it an ideal (or not-so ideal) solution for your home.
Introduction
In my opinion, this is the ultimate combi boiler – one of the very best you can get on the market today. It does a great job of heating large properties with big rooms, high ceilings, and stone walls.
It’s true that Worcester Bosch also does one model up from this (the 42cdi), but you don’t really get that much extra bang for your buck, so in most circumstances, this is the one I’d recommend.
Output and flow rate
The absolutely fantastic flow rate is the main selling point of the 38cdi, with 38kw output to the hot water providing you with 16.4 litres per minute. It’s enough to run two showers at once, or a bath and a shower.
The heating output is 30kw, making this particular boiler only really suitable for a home with at least 12 radiators – anything less than that, and you simply won’t be utilising all that extra power.
When getting a quote make sure your engineer test the flow rate of your cold water mains. There is no point in buying this boiler if there is not an incoming flow rate of 16.4 litres.
Size
The Worcester Bosch classic range of boilers are wall-mounted, which makes them easy to fit in your kitchen, storage cupboard or bedroom. Bear in mind they aren’t as small as the compact range, and therefore you won’t be able to fit them in an Edinburgh press or kitchen cupboard.
Probably the best place to have a classic combi boiler installed (if you have space) is on your kitchen wall – they aren’t too imposing, and this also makes them easily accessible for when you need to adjust the controls.
Guarantee
Great news! You’ll be happy to learn that the 38cdi classic combi boiler comes with Worcester Bosch’s fantastic no quibble 10-year boiler guarantee* when fitted with Worcester Bosch Greenstar filter and comfort controls – also covered for 10 years.
In my own personal opinion, Worcester Bosch currently has the best boiler guarantee on the market. You may be able to find longer guarantees from other boiler companies, but there’s often a catch in the small print, or extra credit card charges before they’ll even agree to a call-out.
I like to look out for my customers, which is why I always recommend the Worcester Bosch guarantee over any other.
