Are you in the market to buy a new boiler, but want the best deal for your money? Of course you do. I’m always on the lookout for the best deals on my purchases; from my new TV right down to my monthly magazine subscriptions. If I can get a bundle deal – even better!

In this article, I’m going to go over where to find some of the best deals on the market, and give you tips on how you can get better value for money with your new combi boiler.

Do your homework

When it comes to getting the best deals, what it really comes down to is doing your homework. This means paying attention to your local press, and searching the internet for installers in your area. Get specific by Googling installers in areas such as Edinburgh, Leith, Morningside etc.

Doing your research will be able to help you find:

Accredited installers

This is particularly important, as accredited installers will often be able to offer you extended guarantees and better deals on your new combi boiler. Many installers will only be accredited to install certain brands, such as Worcester Bosch or Vaillant. In some cases, you could get up to an 8, 10 or 15-year guarantee.

Installers offering cashback/trade-ins

Most installers should be able to offer you £400 cashback on your old boiler, due to the high price of scrap metal at the moment. If an installer doesn’t offer this, keep looking.

Offering package/bundle deals

These days, many installers are putting a lot more focus on electronic controls, such as Worcester Bosch’s Wave System (insert blog LINK here). You may also find you’re able to get a package or bundle that includes a programmable thermostat, or boiler extras such as a clock.

Online offers

It can sometimes be risky buying a boiler online, but there are often a lot of very good discounts available – if you know where to look, and the exact type of boiler you’re looking for.

However, your boiler must still be fitted by an accredited installer, and the downside means that you may have to pay for extra parts separately (the boiler, controls, flues, pipework, fittings etc.). You could also lose out on an extended guarantee.

Multi-boiler deals

If you’re currently renovating or need boilers for more than one property, many installers will give you a good deal. This is usually good to bear in mind if you’re a landlord or own more than one property – I recommend contacting a few installers and enquiring as to how much of a discount they’d be able to offer you for multiple boiler installations.

Conclusion

There are plenty of ways to get a good deal on your new boiler, provided you do your research and know what to look out for. If possible, always go with an accredited installer who will be able to offer you an extended guarantee, as well as cashback on your old boiler. Best of luck!
