Are you wondering what makes Worcester Bosch so popular with engineers?
It’s no secret that engineers and homeowners alike love Worcester Bosch boilers. After all, they have been voted Which? ‘Best Buy’ several years running.
As an experienced engineer, I’ve even written a blog about some of the great reasons Worcester Bosch get the Superwarm stamp of approval. But is there a deeper reason as to why Worcester Bosch are such a firm favourite with engineers?
Well, from my own perspective, there IS a little more I can add…
1. Easy to work on and install
I might be biased, but I just love working on Worcester Bosch boilers. They’re a joy to install and work on, and nothing’s ever tricky or more complicated than it needs to be.
For instance, you can open up the boiler, remove the casing and put the jig on the wall without having to worry about shredding your hands, because the edges on the back are all filed and finished properly. Unlike some Italian brands in the past which I’ve ended up cutting my hands on!
I also like how when you supply a jig, you can pipe the entire thing and test it before even putting the boiler up. This ensures it won’t get damaged, scraped or in the way. Then, the boiler just clips on – simple as that!
It’s small things like this I really appreciate as an installer.
2. Things just work
Probably one of the biggest things that keeps me loyal to Worcester Bosch is the reliability. You can fit a Worcester Bosch boiler, then simply go away and forget about it. Well, until it’s time for its annual service, that is!
They simply slot into place, and everything just works the way you’d expect it to. No leaky valves or dodgy parts. I usually don’t have to come back to repair a Worcester Bosch I’ve fitted for around 10 – 14 years. Which is really quite impressive, considering their 18 – 20 year lifespan!
There’s also never anything missing in the box – unlike some other brands I won’t be naming here!
3. Fantastic support
If you do ever need to speak to someone from Worcester Bosch’s tech support team, I think them super helpful to talk to. Not only that, you can get through to them quickly, without having to spend what feels like forever on hold, or listening to an automated machine!
Their instructions are easy to follow, too. Unlike other brands such as Vaillant, which can get a little more confusing.
4. Simple servicing
When it comes to conducting an annual service, Worcester Bosch boilers are again a pleasure to work with. Compared to the likes of Ideal and Vaillant – which can be complicated to get into the installer settings – Worcester Bosch are a breeze.
You can easily test the high fire and low fire settings, and not have to worry about confusing installer manuals. But again, maybe I’m biased, as I’m so used to working on them! Think of it as a bit like Apple vs Android – the installer parameters of Ideal and Vaillant can take you a while to get into.
5. Delighted customers
Finally, being honest, we get a lot of jobs where we’ve installed mum and dad’s boiler, then their three sons, then maybe their grandmother after that. Entire families and generations who love Worcester Bosch boilers.
We go there, we turn up when we say we’re going to, and we fit the boiler. It’s reliable, quiet, and they don’t have to worry about it until the next annual service. It’s fairly hassle-free from both sides!
Other people who’ve maybe saved £200 on a cheaper brand might have nothing but issues and problems. Good recommendations keep our company afloat, so keeping our customers happy means a lot to us.
Conclusion
I hope this blog has been able to give you a bit more insight into why Worcester Bosch are so popular with engineers. There are all the obvious reasons, but there’s also the fact that they’re so simple and easy to work on. Or their fantastic support team!
But one of the biggies for us is that at the end of the day, we’re left with happy customers.
