They rely heavily on subcontractors, so you’re not really assured the person hired to install your boiler will be accountable for their work over the long term.
When calling them for a customer support issue, you should be prepared to set-aside a little extra time. Because they’re so large, Scottish gas attends to a very large volume of calls which means you spend a little more time waiting for your turn.
