Are you considering a regular (heat only) boiler from the Worcester Bosch Greenstar Ri range?

If so, you might be feeling a bit out of your depth, with so many different outputs to choose from! I certainly wouldn’t blame you for feeling confused.

That’s why I’ve used my 20+ years of experience fitting Worcester Bosch boilers, to give you a detailed overview of the entire range – so you can make the right choice for your home!

So, read on to find out which Worcester Bosch Greenstar Ri boiler could be the perfect fit for your needs.

Introduction

If you currently have a regular boiler fitted in your home, and you don’t want the upheaval that comes from switching to a modern condensing combi boiler, the highly efficient Greenstar Ri range from Worcester Bosch is probably right up your street!

Worcester Bosch has an unbeatable reputation for providing quality, long-lasting premium boilers, having won Which’s ‘Best Buy’ six years running – so, the brand itself is a pretty safe bet.

But how can you tell which one is right for you? I’ve detailed all the relevant specifications for each boiler below.

Central heating outputs

Before looking at the specs, it’s worth noting that this is a high efficiency condensing boiler, so it’s important to get your engineer to check your pipework is up to specification, as it is not compatible with gravity hot water system, and must be fitted as part of a fully pumped system.

  • Greenstar 12Ri: Central heating and hot water output combined of 12 kw
  • Greenstar 15Ri: Central heating and hot water output combined of 15 kw
  • Greenstar 18Ri: Central heating and hot water output combined of 18 kw
  • Greenstar 24Ri: Central heating and hot water output combined of 24 kw
  • Greenstar 27Ri: Central heating and hot water output combined of 27 kw
  • Greenstar 30Ri: Central heating and hot water output combined of 30 kw

Size and special features

I’ve fitted various models from the Greenstar Ri range on numerous occasions where other boilers just weren’t compact enough for the job. Measuring in at only 600mm high, 390mm wide and 270mm deep, these boilers are fantastic for fitting into a standard kitchen cupboard or Edinburgh press.

Greenstar Ri boilers can all be fitted along with Worcester Bosch’s high efficiency Greenstore cylinders.Another great advantage of the Greenstar Ri range is that they are high efficiency boilers that don’t require any added ventilation, so you don’t have to stress about adding air grilles to your cupboards.

Guarantee

You might be pleased to hear that all models in the Greenstar ri range come with Worcester Bosch’s amazing no quibble 8-year boiler guarantee, as long as they are fitted with the brand’s own magnetic central heatingfilter.

The company also has its own dedicated engineers to attend to call-outs if anything does happen to go wrong – so you’ll always know your boiler is in safe hands!

TIP: All Worcester Bosch guarantees are subject to the boiler being serviced every year by a Gas Registered engineer – otherwise the warranty will expire.

Ideal for

This is the part you should really be paying attention to, as I’m going to tell you which boiler is most likely suited to your home – and how the others compare.

TIP: Remember, this is just a rough guide, so always get your chosen engineer to measure your home’s heat loss to ensure you’re getting the right output to suit your specific needs.
