This boiler unfortunately isn’t suitable for larger properties, so you have have a larger two-bedroom home that’s stone built, has high ceilings, and minimal insulation, it’s probably wise to size up. If you’re unsure, your chosen engineer should be able to help work out what you need, by measuring your home’s heat loss.
Most importantly, you need to ensure your pipework is up to the job, as this is a high-efficiency boiler. It has to be fitted with a fully-pumped system.
Because this is a system boiler, it will heat your existing or new hot water cylinder. You can expect the same flow rates as you’re already used to. Alternatively, these can be fitted alongside an unvented cylinder to give you an even better flow rate to your taps.
Size and special features
The Greenstar 9i is a wall-mounted boiler. It measures in at 710mm x 400mm x 330mm, so it won’t fit in a standard-sized kitchen cupboard. However, it will look perfectly at home in your kitchen, or in a larger storage cupboard.
However, the 9i can also be combined with the brand’s own range of high-efficiency indirect or solar compatible Greenstore cylinders.
