Are you looking for a reliable, good value boiler to heat your large Edinburgh home?
If so, I bet you’ve been doing your research! And if you’ve got the Ideal Vogue 40 combi boiler in your sights, this blog is for you.
After all, Ideal combi boilers are becoming more and more popular with homeowners right now, and more of my customers are being swayed by the great value deals currently on offer.
But what’s so fantastic about the Ideal Vogue 40 combi? Well, keep reading to find out…
Introduction
Ideal is one of those good old British manufacturers that’s managed to claw back some market share recently. In the past (around 10 – 15 years ago) they had some trouble with the reliability of their boilers, but now they’re back and offering better deals than ever.
They seem to be playing a bit of a game along with Baxi, in that they’re offering slightly higher output boilers, for less money than premium brands like Worcester Bosch or Vaillant. Homeowners are finding that if they shop around, they can get a 35kW output boiler from a brand like Ideal, for the same price as 30kW from a premium brand. This has caused them to gain quite a bit of ground!
As for the Vogue 40, it’s got a higher central heating output by 2kW than you’ll find from the Worcester Bosch 42cdi classic (I know, the names are confusing), but a slightly lesser flow rate (hence 40k vs the 42kW of the 42cdi). But let’s take a closer look at how these outputs affect you below…
Output and flow rates
With an output of 32kW to the central heating, the Ideal Vogue 40 can easily heat around 12 – 16 radiators. It’s perfect for a large Edinburgh home with around five bedrooms, high ceilings and two bathrooms.
As for the output to your taps, as the name suggests, the Ideal Vogue 40 delivers an output of 40kW. This means a fantastic 16.4 litres per minute to your taps! I’m sure this can allow you to run two showers at once, a bath and shower simultaneously. However, it’s possible you may notice a very slight decrease in pressure.
Size and special features
Looking at the measurements, the Ideal Vogue 40 is around average size. At 740mm x 445mm x 330mm, it’s a wall-hung combi, so it’s not compact enough to fit inside a kitchen cupboard. However, it will look great on your kitchen wall, or in a larger cupboard or utility room.
The Ideal Vogue range is built with premium components, features a backlit 3.5” LCD full colour display, and has a low lift weight.
Guarantee
You’ll be over the moon to hear that the Vogue 40 comes with an outstanding, 10-year no quibble guarantee! So, you can have confidence your Vogue boiler will last the distance. However, from the 1st April 2017, you’ll only get this guarantee when your new boiler is installed with an Ideal magnetic central heating system filter.
TIP: It’s wise to remember your guarantee will only stay valid if your boiler is serviced annually be a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Ideal also have their own dedicated engineers for call-outs, so your new 40kW combi will always be in safe hands!
