Are you interested in a Baxi boiler, but aren’t sure what’s on offer?

Many of my customers come to me knowing they want a Baxi boiler, but aren’t sure if they need a regular, system or combi boiler. The good news is, Baxi manufacture all three, and I have experience fitting most of them.

I’m going to be publishing more in-depth reviews about each type of boiler and various models available in my blog over the next few weeks, but first I thought I’d start by introducing you to the Baxi range in this brief overview.

So, let’s get started, shall we?

Which type of boiler do you need?

Probably your first consideration here is whether you wish to install a regular or system boiler to connect to your existing hot water tank (for minimal upheaval), or whether you want to remove your old boiler, hot water and cold water tanks altogether and fit a combi boiler.

A new combi boiler will give you access to instant hot water any time of the day or night – and getting rid of your tanks would mean you could make the most of the available space in your home.

Which output is right for you?

I’ve discussed this minefield with many customers, and the best advice I can give you is to get your chosen heating engineer to measure your home’s heat loss so you know you’re getting the correct output for your home.

TIP: I always advise customers to opt for the models with the largest guarantee, as in my opinion this is the best value. But remember, your boiler must be serviced annually to keep it valid.

Conclusion

If you’re interested in buying a Baxi boiler, but aren’t sure which type you need or which models are available, this boiler comparison (above) should give you the overview you need. Of course, your main consideration is whether to opt for a regular, system or combi boiler.

As for the output, it’s vital that you get your chosen heating engineer to measure your home’s heat loss so you can be sure you’re buying the correct output for your home. Too small, and you could be a little chilly in winter – too large, and you could be using more energy than you need!

Finally, I usually recommend opting for the model with the longest guarantee, as it means you’ll be getting the most for your money and will be covered if anything goes wrong. Just don’t forget to have your boiler serviced annually to keep it valid!
